Ким Кардашян родилась 21 октября 1980 года в Лос-Анджелесе в Калифорнии. Имеет армянские корни со стороны отца, шотландские и голландские корни со стороны матери. Про себя Ким говорит, что она наполовину армянка, на четверть шотландка и на четверть голландка [1] .
Мать Ким подала на развод в 1989 году и в 1991 году заново вышла замуж за бывшего известного легкоатлета Брюса Дженнера ( англ. ).
Выросла Ким в Беверли-Хиллз. Посещала Marymount High School (англ.) русск. [2]. В старших классах школы работала на своего отца Роберта в музыкальной рекламной фирме Movie Tunes .
